• On October 4, 2004, the WIPO General Assembly granted permanent observer status to the Civil Society Coalition

• From June 28-30, 2004, the Civil Society Coalition was granted ad hoc observer status to the Second Session of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement in Geneva, Switzerland. See Chair's Conclusions

• On July 31, 2003, the Civil Society Coalition (CSC) sent a letter to Dr. Kamil Idris, Director General, requesting observer status at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

• On July 2, 2001, the Civil Society Coalition (CSC) requested and was granted an NGO's accreditation for the Fourth Ministerial Conference of the WTO to be held in Doha from 9 to 13, November 2001.
